Flu-y Goodness! And East Baton Rouge School’s “Research Project”

We knew it was coming… flu shot clinics in the public schools.  I thought, perhaps, vaccines for H1N1 would be the offering.  I was wrong.  Yesterday, Liam, my 5 year old KD student, brought home information on what seemed –at first, to be a simple flu shot clinic at his school.

The paper telling us about the clinic made sure to mention that this was VOLUNTARY. It also mentioned a shortage of the injectable, “dead virus” vaccine, so the vaccines to be given to the students will be flu mist –the LIVE virus vaccine.

They said that ONLY students who return the consent forms will be vaccinated, that without the completed forms they will not vaccinate your child. I was surprised at how detailed the consent forms were, your own pediatrician doesn’t give that much of a rat’s ass about your informed consent, well, b/c they know that they are never ever liable (though… oh man! I would LOVE to see them held liable for vaccine reactions when a parent states a concern about their child being sick at the time of vaccination –and the doctor blowing them off!!!).  I figured the school couldn’t be held liable either, so it seemed odd –but I guess they were just covering their asses, plus they need to make sure that the student can get the LIVE VIRUS nasal vaccine, Flu Mist.

I sat down and wrote them a letter –I signed the form opting out and asked to be notified of the date b/c I would be keeping Liam home that day.  I asked them if they were aware that a mass vaccination clinic using Flu Mist will put many at risk, as flu virus will be airborne like crazy that day (well I used better words) AND that students can shed the live virus for up to 21 days? I asked them if they realized that in the end, more students and staff will probably get sick due to this clinic & that they will be putting students who do not get the vaccine –for whatever reason, at risk of getting the virus. –I wrote this all to make myself feel better, as I knew they don’t care.

Then I took a good look at the form.

FIRST it says that filling out the opt-out form is optional and that it will only used for DATA COLLECTION. Fuck that! It says it will be anonymously… yeah right… with my kid’s name on it???
The choices it give you for opting out are

• my kids already got the shot
• my kids will get the shot from their doctor

WHERE was the “Keep you filth out of my child’s body”?? I guess that goes under “Other”.

THEN I noticed something in the fine fine print… SOMETHING that is not mentioned AT ALL in the letter explaining the flu shot clinic… Turns out it is not a flu shot clinic at ALL… The “Optional Non-Participation Form” reads:

“My child ________________ (first and last name) will NOT participate in the school-based influenza vaccination research program for the following reason(s):”

Did you catch that? RESEARCH PROGRAM. Fucking research program?  For what?? to see just how many kids will get sick from the Flu Mist?? To see if they are more likely to get sick from H1N1?? To see if they are more likely to get the H1N1 shot what THAT is offered??? (Our newspaper said once these clinics are over, they will do H1N1 shot clinics… THAT THEY DECIDED TO DO SEASONAL FLU SHOTS FIRST B/C IT HAS A HIGHER MORBIDITY RATE –that is the FIRST time I have seen that in print.  I have been asking that question all along.  Turns out all the H1N1 hype and talk of forced vaccinations and quarantines is all bull shit b/c H1N1 is NOT EVEN AS deadly as seasonal flu.)

Research. Stay tuned, I will be calling the numbers on the paper here to find out more about this research AND WHO is being compensated by whom.

AS FOR THE FLU SHOT, do know this. It is Toxic. It is NOT effective. It actually increases the likelihood of hospitalization FROM the flu. It increases the rate of Alzheimer’s by 10 fold for those who get the flu shot 5 consecutive years. Read on:

Autism & Vaccines… and they said they weren’t linked!

One of the war cries of the pharma whores is that there simply are not any epidemiological studies showing a link between autism and vaccines… forget the mass of clinic evidence… forget the crap ton of studies that DID support a link… like the studies that showed:

• autistic kids have trouble detoxing, in fact, didn’t detox much at all on their own, and were full of heavy metals
• studies that showed heavy metals in vaccines DO cross the blood brain barrier… probably b/c the BBB is not fully formed in young kids
• epidemiology study from CA that showed the increase in case to be REAL, not better dx’ing or some other line of crap they like to feed the ignorant masses
• the TX studies that showed kids who live closer to mercury spewing plants had 10 fold increase in autism
• study from Canada that showed kids vax’d on time had over twice the chance of developing asthma, eh.
• ADHD rates higher, in kids with more mercury in their blood
• the MMR link supported by measles found in gut, and diet helping such kids…

blah blah blah etc.

I should expect it… a lot of those studies above, and tons more that you can find at Generation Rescue, were peer reviewed and published, but still IGNORED. So I should expect it right?

I should expect it when this little gem pops up on our radar, a study in LAST MONTHS ISSUE of the Annals of Epidemiology (an abstract of the study) that states those who got a birth dose of the Hep B vaccine were THREE TIMES LIKELY to develop autism. From the Abstract, “Boys who received the hepatitis B vaccine during the first month of life had 2.94 greater odds for ASD compared to later- or unvaccinated boys.”

WTFuck media?

Why is this not front page news? WHY is this ignored? and WHY aren’t Americans ASKING WHY the media refuses to cover these stories… they jump all over studies that (are flawed) show “no link” btw vaccines and autism, and IGNORE the ones that do.  Does this have ANYTHING to do with the 90% pharma ads that run during the commerical breaks? I guess the $$ they rake in helping old guys get it up is more important than a generation of children lost to hypervaccination.

Keep drinking the Kool-aide America! 1 in 58 boys are autistic.  1 in 6 kids have learning disabilities.

Heating Up!

So… I started this blog, and then… Meh.  You have to realize how busy we autism mums are…Plus I spend most of my time just ranting on my Facebook page.  Well I am tired of preaching to my friends, so I am firing this baby back up.

–and the news items of the past few days have certainly lit a fire under my ass, so here we go…

Autistic Kids, annoying normal people, alert the press!

I hope I am not seeing a new trend here with moronic talkradio hosts bashing kids with autism, but after two particularly moronic hosts, Michael Savage & Mike McConnell, opened their useless pie holes this past week, I have worries of a trend.

First we have Mike McConnell of 700WLW in Cincinnati saying that we need to teach our kids manners and remove them when they act a little autistic…  Seriously?  WTFuck? What is wrong with people these days? I am sooooo sorry that my autistic child acting “all autistic” is uncomfortable for you and all, and perhaps he’s making your dining experience all shitty and everything, but I live with it 24/7. PLUS there is something called the Americans with Disabilities Act.  I can take my child where ever the fuck I please.

What is our solution Mr. McConnell?  Should we gather up all the autistic children and put them in some kind of camp to keep them away from society… hmmm.. but gee what would we do with all of them then…. maybe we could put them in some kind of oven and just “take care of them”.  Wait… this sounds familiar…..

THEN we have ignorant reject du jour, Michael Savage, saying that 99% of autism is nothing more than fatherless bratty kids with inept parents who don’t know when to tell their kids to “cut the shit” as we say around these parts.  And please, take the time to ACT on Michael Savage by contacting his broadcasters and sponsors and for therapuetic purposes his email address is there too –oh and he also rags on minority kids with Asthma, there is something for everyone!

All you people blessed with 100% normalcy in your lives need to consider two things:1. Be certain to feel blessed, while official numbers still show autism as 1 in 150 you know that is wrong. There is an autistic kid in every freaking classroom out there. When I do counts on random message boards and other various places I am finding the number to be more along the lines of 1 in 25 to 1 in 50. So keep shooting your ignorant fucking mouths off and sit back and wait b/c your number is coming up.

2. Feeling frustrated? Join our fight!! I am too fucking tired to fight as hard as I should, help me out. Call up the CDC and tell them your woes! Tell them how autistic kids are just plain bumming you out and ask them what they are going to do about it!

ETA: I just saw a link on Adventure in Autism (see blogroll) about an autistic kid booted from a golf shop b/c his special stroller was too big and “Sunday is [their] busiest day”.

Either way you slice it, she is a nobody who called parents who do not vaccinate their children, “Parasites”.  Another so-called “celebrity” with no dogs in the fight shooting their ignorant mouth off.
